In December 2015, Australian orchestral-producer Anatole released his first EP through TEEF Recordings, the much anticipated Surrounds, to a rousing critical reception. It found fans in artists such as Japanese Wallpaper, Gordi, Sable, Mansionair and Woodes and has so far racked up nearly 1.5 million streams on Spotify alone. It’s drawn comparisons to artists like Bibio, Bonobo and even Lido through its incredible attention to production detail. It’s only fitting that such a release receive a similarly wonderful reimagining.
Anatole has commissioned some of his good friends to rework the songs of the EP, delivering new twists and turns to his beat-driven orchestral masterpieces.
